On Wednesday July 2nd I attended the Norris Green Your Community Matters meeting. There was a good discussion about improving facilities for the local community including the longer term aims of a new youth centre and pressing local schools to open up their premises in the evenings and at weekends.
The 3 ward councillors Vi Bebb, Frank Cooke and Alan Walker were there alongwith local residents, the Police, Cobalt and the Fire Service. There were lots of great ideas from local people and a real sense of community pride.
What is vital now is that the issues raised at these meetings get taken forward by the Council and other agencies.
